The effect of surfactants on electrowetting driven fluid motion.
France / Франция
The electrowetting effect allows control over the two-dimensional movement of a water interface across hydrophobic insulator coated electrode surfaces. The application of a voltage between the electrode and the water moves the water into contact with the insulator thus reducing the insulator area that is covered with oil. The microfluidic motion is investigated as a function of the addressing voltage, oil film thickness, oil type and surfactant nature.
