Electrophoresis in strong electric fields.
Hungary / Венгрия
The features of electrophoresis (ef) in weak and strong electric fields are discussed. Two kinds of non-linear ef observed in strong fields are distinguished: I. is due to the interaction of the applied field with the field-induced charges of the EDL, and II. the “superfast electrophoresis” owing to interaction of strong fields with a “space charge” induced near unipolar conducting particles by the field itself. Experimental data proving the developed theories are described.
