Wetting behaviour and thin wetting films from aqueous solutions of polymeric surfactants.
Bulgaria / Болгария
The wetting properties and the thin wetting films of aqueous solutions of a novel non-ionic polymeric surfactant INUTEC SP1 have been studied On hydrophilic glass surface the θ versus INUTEC SP1 concentration CSP1 curves showed a maximum. On a hydrophobic glass surface a gradual θ decrease with increase in CSP1 was observed. At low Cel the thickness of wetting films decreased with increase of CSP1, reaching a minimum. The steric repulsion of the loops and tails of INUTEC CSP1 determined the film thickness.
