Mannosylated biodegradable aliphatic polyesters: synthesis, characterization and application to the production of colloidal drug delivery systems.

France / Франция

Cell surface carbohydrates from glycoproteins and glycolipids play essential roles as recognition sites between cells, but also between cells and microorganisms. Taking advantage of the crucial role of carbohydrates as information molecules, numerous polymeric materials carrying multiple saccharide moieties have been developed for analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. In this context, our aim was to synthesize an amphiphilic biodegradable/bioresorbable mannosylated diblock copolymer, as a novel precursor of colloidal drug delivery systems.
