The effect of interaction with ionic micelles on porphyrin excited state characteristics.

The effects of interaction of TPPS4 and TMPyP water-soluble porphyrins with ionic micelles on porphyrin excited state characteristics were studied using nonlinear Z-scan technique. The changes of S1 and T1 porphyrin excited states cross-sections, lifetimes and quantum yields, induced by this interaction, were observed. The preservation of D2h symmetry of the porphyrins at excitation was demonstrated.
