III International Conference on Colloid Chemistry and Physicochemical Mechanics

Past Conferences

The 1st International Conference on Colloid Chemistry and Physicochemical Mechanics was held in Moscow, Russia, in October 1998. It was dedicated to the centennial of the birthday of P.A. Rehbinder. Over 200 participants took part in the Conference, with 402 oral and poster communications delivered. The Conference was divided in five sections:

  • General problems of colloid chemistry and psysicochemical mechanics
  • Surfactants, foams and emulsions
  • Structure formation and rheology
  • The Rehbinder effect and mechanochemistry
  • Colloid chemistry of polymers

The 2nd Conference, named “Colloid 2003”, was conducted in Minsk, Belarus, in October 2003. Beside a plenary sesssion, work on Conference went off in the following sections:

  • General problems of colloid chemistry and physicochemical mechanics, surface phenomena
  • Adsorption and adsorbents
  • Surfactants, foams and emulsions
  • Colloid chemistry of polymers, membrane chemistry and biocolloid chemistry
  • Nanomaterials and nanotechnology
It was on the 2nd Conference in Minsk where is was ruled that the next Conference be held in Moscow in 2008.
